Felicia Lin is a Taiwanese American writer who has been documenting the life of Su Beng, a nonagenarian Taiwanese revolutionary, activist and historian. through interviews, video and audio recordings since 2004. She is now working with Su Beng on writing his memoir in English. In 1991, while at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, she helped to found the Intercollegiate Taiwanese Students Association (ITASA), a not-for-profit organization that caters to over 14,000 college-age students and organizes collegiate conferences annually in the East coast, Midwest and West coast. Over a hundred student organizations nationwide are involved in the conference planning. In 2001, after obtaining a master’s degree in psychology at New York University, she left for Taiwan on a quest to discover her roots. She was teaching English at Kao Yuan University, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, when she “discovered” Su Beng. Also in the works is a romantic comedy novel with a multi-ethnic cast of five characters, who go through hilarious dating and relationship adventures in New York City.
