My name is Mahdis Marzooghian. I am twenty-three years old and I recently graduated from Towson University. I received my BA in English (Writing) as well as in Mass Communications (Journalism) and French. I write whenever I get the chance. I have written several poems, short stories, and essays, and I am currently writing my first novel, into which I have poured my very heart and soul. I plan to get all of my work published, especially my novel, in the near future so that I can influence and touch the hearts of many people with my writing. In addition, I am an avid reader and sometimes read several books at a time. I hold the classics very dear to my heart and it is my goal to read as many of the great works of literature as I possibly can.
Writing is my true passion and what I want to do for the rest of my life. I was truly fortunate to realize my love for writing at an early age and that helped me plan out exactly what I wanted to do with my future way in advance. I am extremely ambitious and have many goals and dreams – I want to travel and see the world and continue to do what I love for as long as I can. In addition to writing and literature, I am very much interested in linguistics and besides English, I am fluent in both Farsi and French. I would love to learn more languages if I can. I eventually plan to earn my doctorate degree and teach writing at a university as well as write during my free time. My ultimate dream job, however, is to be a widely-published and well-paid writer while traveling all over the world and writing about my experiences because it incorporates everything that I love to do: writing, traveling, and learning about different cultures and languages! For now, however, I will be going back to Towson University in the fall to earn my Master’s Degree in Professional Writing.
