Former title holder as Miss Philippines, Trish is one of the most renowned modern day Asian-America Beauty Queen, Model, Author, Humanitarian, Social Entrepreneur and Businesswoman of her time. She is best known for gracing the cover of the Revista Magazine August 2011 issue and being featured as the centerfold model in the Miss Asia USA magazine 2011 issue. Born Patricia Maria Paz Calayan Abad Santos, Trish is a natural born leader.
Growing up, she always found a way to show her compassion to those around her. In high school, she was part of organizations which promoted leadership, service and character to help with school functions as well as surrounding communities. In college, she became part of the Chi Omega Chi Kappa Sorority which focused their philanthropy projects in collaboration with the Make A Wish Foundation. She has been involved in different humanitarian organizations such as the Eastern Seals of Delaware and Maryland community services and helped organize a fundraising program for the World Vision Help Japan Relief in California.
With an Award Winning Artist of the Philippines for a grandmother, her influence has truly inspired Trish to become the accomplished painter and artist she is today. She was honored with a Scholastic Commendation for Visual Arts from the Delaware House of Representatives, Scholastic Art & Writing Award for Excellence in Visual Arts and a Merit Award for Painting from the Delaware Department of Education. She was also honored to be recognized as a Distinguished Alumni at the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. As an artist, Trish has also played main roles in music videos such as “Summer Girl” in recording artist and Latin pop star Diana Mera’s music video. Working hand-in-hand with MTV Latina music video director, Soledad Herrada of MTV Networks.
As she continues to touch the lives of those around her, she hopes to gain personal and professional growth, strengthen cultural values, promote leadership as well as camaraderie. She hopes to inspire others to make their voices hear, to become a voice of her generation and the generations after her time. To encourage those who have the faith, spirit and love for their country to become a better person inside and out.
